Spring Break

Yay!!! The kids have Spring Break this week, and that means that I get a little break :) The weather here has been gorgeous the last few days. Lots of sunshine, high 60's, and it is supposed to continue for the entire week. I am probably one of the very few people who actually enjoys the winter, but I am so glad that it is feeling like Spring!

Well, Callie had cheer tryouts this past week. I don't know why it was so different this year, but it was much more stressful. She was quite nervous about it, and that in turn made me nervous FOR her. The thought of those tears of disappointment weighed heavy on my heart. She worked so hard and it paid off :) She made the squad again. It is really difficult to acknowledge that she is going to be an 8th grade cheerleader! I guess because I really do not want to believe that she is going to be in 8th grade. Next year is going to be very different for me. Callie will be in Eighth, Ethan - Fifth, Garrett - Third, Shelby - Second, and the toughest...Chisum will start Kindergarten! I look forward to having time to do the things I want, but the reality that my children are getting so big is sometimes bittersweet.

There is a new Workout up at ScrapFIT today. Here is what you have to do:

"March Madness"

So here is the Workout--A recipe challenge
1. 4 Circles (to represent the Final 4)
2. Multiple Fonts (like all the teams have different Logo's)
3. 2 Pictures (because it comes down to the final game)
4. Distressing (that is the way all the teams will feel when Kentucky wins it all).

This was written by Kelly-which explains the Kentucky thing :)The sponsor is Life Preserver's Scrapbook Club. Complete the challenge and link up at the ScrapFIT Blog for a chance to win a kit from LPS. LPS was the very first Design Team I was on, and I can definitely say that the kits are Fantastic! Make sure to come register at the ScrapFIT Forum. There are always great challenges, games, and loads of wonderful conversation going on. Everyone is so welcoming. You will feel right at home :) ALSO!!!! Friday, we are having a blog hop! There will be tons of prizes that you won't want to miss out on. So, stop by here or the ScrapFIT blog on Friday for all the details.

I have a couple of cards to share today. The Dear Lizzy collection has become a favorite of mine. I love the banners...and the stickers...and the paper...OK, I love it all. I made this card much like the card on my last post. It's such a cute line!

This next card was made with some new Jillibean Soup. Laura Vegas created a layout where she did this thread technique, and I loved it so much I had to do it. The new lines are wonderful. I have Egg Drop Soup ordered and hopefully I will be getting it soon. Can't wait!

That is all for today. I received a Huge box from Piggy Tales so I will be creating with some Goodies this week!!! Come back on Friday to see what you can win from me! Hope everyone has a Blessed week!

What adorable cards!!! Especially love the second! And a huge congrats to your daughter! I so understand the stress related to try-outs... my daughter cheered for years. Our most stressful year was her freshman year. There was talk of taking freshman on the varsity team...a first. I knew it would be close and luckily she made it! It's always exciting but such a relief.

Wishing you a happy Tuesday!!! xoxo L
