How About Some New BIG Giveaways!!

I know everyone on here thinks that I am crazy to do the giveaways that I do. But, I have people that donate items to me for the purpose of doing giveaways. They do not ask to be recognized and do not want anything in return. They do it because they are that amazing, wonderful people who want to bless other :)
So, if you have paid any attention to my blog lately, you know that our next giveaway had 2 big clues. Ok, basically the clues gave it away. But for those of you who didn't read the post or are like me and would miss every clue possible. Here they are!!!
The first giveaway which is just a pure SLICE of Heaven

And then for all of you that have been waiting for it.....haven't had a chance to get one yet.....BTW I do not own one myself :)
Here it is:

No, I didn't make a mistake. I decided that I would give away 2 Slices this time. We will keep the other Bind It All for another time :) I can't lie. I have had moments where I thought maybe I should keep one of the Slices for myself. But I couldn't live with myself! So, my guilty conscience is your luck! I was going to wait until the end of the month to do this, but I really couldn't wait. I just love giving stuff away. Jake always tells me I would give every last cent we had to someone, and I would. God has blessed us with so much, and I know that He has blessed us so that we are able to bless others. I have had quite a few people take advantage of me, but in the end, I don't want to be any different than I am. There might be 99 people who walk all over me, but there will be 1 person who really needs it. What if that person was Jesus? What would you do?
I have been trying to think of something new to do for the giveaway, but I am at a loss :( I can't come up with anything original!! So, I guess y'all will just have to leave comments again. Isn't that funny? We are actually still doing the other comment challenge right now for a Bind It All. WOW!!! I am obsessed with my bind it all now that I know how to use it *giggle* My Fruit of the Spirit album is one that I made from my Bind It All. Zutter should be giving me kick backs or something, don't you think? LOL Here is how this giveaway will work. You can leave up to 5 comments each day. Tell me why you would want either one of these. What would you make? The deadline is March 25. That is exactly 2 weeks. Yes, I learned from last time that y'all love deadlines also :) Post a link on your blog, and then post it back here. Here is the thing, a challenge is not a challenge, if there is no challenge to it....a challenge.....not a.....if......Well, it made sense to me!! So, the challenge will be that WE HAVE TO GET TO 2000 comments in that 2 weeks time. I know for a fact that we can do it. For every 400 comments left, I will choose a winner and they will receive a prize. So that is 5 prizes just from that. Then there are the 2 Slices!! Can I get a WOO HOO? Obviously, too much caffeine for me this morning! All comments will be made on this post. This will be open ONLY to residents of Canada and the US. Sorry to our International friends. So....Get Ready....Get Set....GO!!!!
I have to also tell you a little funny story that happened just a while ago. I had the school nurse call, which having 5 children never fails to scare me to death. Shelby has a cavity that has been bothering her the last couple of days. We are taking her in this afternoon, but she has still had to go to school. I was going to send Children's Motrin and Orajel. Well, Prince Charming let me sleep in this morning so he took all of the kids to schoool. Is he not the best???? So, the nurse calls and tells me that she is about to give Shelby her medicine, but she had a question. What was it? Honestly, I sat there and thought, "Can you not read the bottle?" The school nurse and I went to school together, so I know that she is very intelligent and just adorable. I tell her that Jake sent it so it might be Tylenol. Then she said, "Well, he put it in a Ziploc bag, but didn't write what it was!!!!" I about fell over. I told her that I was so sorry, and I couldn't believe he would do that. He literally took a few children's Tylenol (the correct dosage) and put them in a Ziploc bag and sent Shelby merrily on her way. You have to give the man credit because he is such an awesome daddy to be concerned for his daughter that much. Oh, he is something else. But he is my world :)
Callie's cheer leading clinic continues to go extremely well. They learned their NCA dance yesterday, and she has it down. There are still 2 more 8 counts for them to learn today. I sat there after I wrote that post yesterday, and thought I hope I didn't come off like one of 'those' mothers. Callie cheered from first-fourth grade, took gymnastics, did it all. When she wanted to stop, we stopped. She had decided that she did not want to cheer in Junior High, which was fine with me. I suppose part of me wanted her to. It's like a legacy of sorts. Just how fathers want their sons to play football or baseball because they did. I somewhat did want her to cheer because I did. But I was definitely ok with her decision. A few months ago, she came to me and said that she did in fact want to try out. She started taking private lessons about 2 months ago, twice a week. Now she has had between 4-6 practices each week. This has been for about 2 weeks. This is with 3 private coaches also. I don't care if my children are the absolute best, as long as they DO their best. Anyway, a big percentage of points for her tryouts come from her GPA. Which, I am very glad of. She takes all Pre-AP classes (advanced placement) and we figured out her GPA today and it is a 4.9 out of a 5.0 (GPA is higher for Pre-AP) Tomorrow is a mock try out, and Friday is the big day. I am nervous for her. We talked before it all started, and I asked her how she would feel if she didn't make it. At first she said devastated. I told her she could not try out. I do not want her to feel like life revolves around cheering and making the squad. Twenty years from now, it won't matter. She has really come to terms with the fact that she might not make it, and there is always next year. So, I'm good with that :)
We will be going to Houston after tryouts on Friday. We are going to see Josh Turner in concert at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Those are always such wonderful Benadryl days for me. But I am glad we will be able to see Josh. He is an awesome Christian man, who is raising a Christ-centered family. It should be fun. Next week is spring break, and I am so glad. I really enjoy the kids being home. I look forward to summer for that reason. I would home school them, but it would be selfish because it would be about me not them. I completely respect people that home school their children. I just know I, myself, would not do a good enough job with them.
Really quick one last thing. Chisum has started calling me the "F" word. Settle down, it's not as bad as you think. The kids know that we do not tolerate any kind of name calling in this house. Well, he looked at me the other day, when he was mad, and called me a ............. Forehead! I asked repeatedly what he had said, and that's all it was. He thought he was doing something because he had called me a forehead!!! He is a hoot!
Alrighty then!!! That is all I have to say for today....I know y'all are saying Oh Thank goodness :)

Much Love & Many Blessings~~~

Wow. Awesome give away. I would love to win one of those slices because I think it would be a very useful tool to help me get my home business of making cards/albums for people. Being a SAHM I am hoping to get this strted soon after moving into our new home so I can help bring some income in but at the same time be home when my kids are home and be there for them when they need me.

Sandy said...

Oh, and I wanted to say I think its awesome that you have these people who donate the items and do not want to be given the glory for it. That shows their true heart of doing for the right reasons.

WOW Danille, that's amazing!!! I can't believe it...2 slices...how awesome!!

I'd love to win one of them because it would make my scrapping so much more fun! I'm doing so many albums at once and alot of the times, I feel like they all start looking the same. A Slice would give me a way to throw new embellishments on there and change things up!

Anyway, thanks for the awesome chance to win more prizes...you rock girl! ;)

Oh, and I'm LOL about the mystery Tylenol and the "F" word!! Hehehe...

Ok, I'm off to post about this on my blog right now...2,000 comments here we come!

Phew...the 'F' word had me holding my breath. Thanks for another fun giveaway. I do have my own consulting business and I need a cool way to design 'thank you' cards! Heck, I need all the help I can get.

KimR said...

OH Danielle--you sure make me smile! THough there are always so many directions for your giveaways--I never am sure I understand! LOL

I have been drooling over a Slice since they came out! When I look at the deisng cards--I like everything on them! I would love to be able to win one---it sure would brighten my spirits after the hard week I have had.
What would I make? Labels, flowers, buttons, oh my!!!! :) I would make embellies for cards and scrabbok pages.
Thanks for your generosity!

KimR said...

So, for this contest--will a number be chosen and that number is the winner?

What if I don't have a blog? Can I send it in an email to my sister and CC you a copy for credit? :)

KimR said...

I love hearing the stories about your children. NO, I don't think you sound like one of "those" Moms. THough, the actual tryouts haven't happened yet--we will have to see! ;) LOL

Love the "f" word. When I taught kindergarten and we were working on sounds..one little girl raised her hand while doing the word family it--and shared a "s" word that rhymed. I told here that we don't share those words in school. (Of course I harrassed her parents, whom I knew.) Then when we got to "duck", she raised her hand, BUT said, oh eah--we don't use bad words, right!? Thank goodness she caught herself!

KimR said...

I totally hear you about homeschooling. I do not think I would be disciplined enough! I could see waking up to beautiful autumn leaves and scrapping the wschoolwork so we could go make leaf piles, and do fun art projects! I am a teacher now and I think I get more excited than the kids when there is the possibility of a snow day! NO, homeschooling would not work for me....I would be doing things with my kids--but would get so easily sidetracked...kudos to those that do homeschool!

KimR said...

So Danielle, can you imagine if I lkeave five post that are as long as my others!!!??? YOu will totally be rethinking that five post thing... LOL

See ya tomorrow!

let's see... why would I LOOOOOVE to win the Slice???

1. because it's small and portable
2. because I never get birthday or Christmas gifts from my kids or dh so in actuality, I deserved it ;)
3. because it would be the best RAK I've ever won--sure beats the magazine I won at CKC last year..lol
4. I have the perfect spot for it in my scrapden
5. because I, too, am a giver by nature and if I won a Slice, I would have to buy one for my SIL who is a 1st grade teacher in a
small, poverished town in Mexico (she'd LOOVE one too). Wouldn't feel right owning one if she couldn't own one too ;)

Hi Danielle!!! Just jumped over to your blog from Ashley over at Heart Hugs! I think you are amazing for doing these amazing giveaways! Please don't include this comment/me in with the giveaway drawing though - however fabulous this prize is (which it REALLY is - I got to see it live in action over at CHA this past January), I barely use my Cricut as it is and I wouldn't want to take away someone else's chance of winning who WILL actually put it to better use than I ever will!

I just wanted to say that I really liked visiting your page and I have to be completely honest, I usually detest blogs with music playing (*shrugs* sorry, just a matter of personal preference - probably since I do sneak a few peeks at peoples' blogs at work and the music coming up always makes me jump HAHAHAHA!) but I LOVE your music. I looked through your playlist and I love all those songs - ESPECIALLY Amazing Love, though I'm more partial to the Hillsong/Darlene Zschech (sp?) version! *LOL* Beautiful blog, I will definitely be going back entries to see what else you've been up to since I've discovered you! Have a wonderful day!

A Slice would be an amazing tool to own. I think that the scrapping layouts would be endless and would provide me the means to put a bigger dent in the backlog of photos that I need to scrap. I love how portable it is and the versatility that it provides. Who would pass that up?

I am so glad that Crafty Cath from craftycath.blogspot.com sent me your way.

Danielle - what wonderful, generous connections you have to donate these expensive gifts! Awesome! I'd love a Slice so I could share it with my girls when we scrap together. I'd definitely use it for cards & layouts (of course). I'm not even sure what else it does, but I'll use it - don't worry! LOL Thanks!

How cool!!! A slice would send me to scrappy land where all my worries would be filled with thoughts of paper, and cuts!!!! I'd love to win one of those! It's so portable, great to share with friends!!!! I haven't bought one yet...so winning one would be super!

I'm only going to post once because I love to read your blog....and you really only need one post to win! :-} Smiles and goodluck to DD with the cheerleading tryouts tomorrow!

#5 post I was moved by your comment "...99 people who walk all over you and the 1 who really needs it. What if it were Jesus?". Very true. Definitely something to pray over. Thanks.

I'll post tomorrow! Good luck ladies!

I can hardly believe it...2 Slices?!?!?! A friend of mine has recently purchased one and she loves it! I love it too, but can not justify spending that much on a "tool"...that being said, I am completely on board with winning one...lol! I am not even sure where I would start with using it, but I am sure that would figure that out quickly!!

Viv blusky said...

I would love to win one of them because it would make my scrapping so much more fun! I'm doing so many albums at once including my wedding album. I think it would also help me with my cards. It would help me try something different and change things up a bit. A Slice would give me a way to throw new embellishments and try new thing. Thank you for having this. I will post it on all of my swaps.

Viv blusky said...

The slice would be great for making cards for relay for life and all the other causes I belong to.

I have just started scrapbooking, and the slice would be great to cur out titles and other great embellishments in just the right size.

OOOO!! Also, the draw date (March 25) is my birthday, and that would be a FABULOUS birthday gift.

DD sent me over here, I think the Slice looks like a very nice tool, however if I won it I would give it to my DD as she has been drooling over it and sometimes giving is more fun than recieving.

morgainegeiser said...

So for post #2 - I hope your DD's cheerleading tryouts go good, that is always a stressful time, stress for you too.

morgainegeiser said...

You will have to make a card for DD regardless if she makes the squad or not.
